Toronto Police’s professional standards division has charged a York Regional Police officer.
It is alleged that on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 4 p.m., members of York Regional Police were involved in an investigation in the Queen Street West and Lisgar Street area.
The York officers were involved in a foot pursuit of a man who fled from police.
The man was located at the rear of 1214 Queen Street West and an officer from York’s Canine Unit assisted in the arrest.
Toronto police say during the arrest, the suspect was assaulted.
On Wednesday, August 24, 2016, 35 year old Constable Michael Partridge was charged with assault with a weapon and assault.
He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, October 27, 2016, 11 a.m., courtroom 111.
