A 38 year old man has been charged with second degree murder after human remains were found behind a butcher shop near Broadview and Gerrard in April.
The body of 30 year old Melissa Cooper of Toronto was found by a worker in a dumpster when he took out the garbage on April 19.
On April 29 Albert Ian Ohab, of Toronto, was arrested and was charged with indignity to a dead body.
He appeared in court on Saturday, April 30, and after further investigation Ohab has now been charged with Second-Degree Murder.
He was set to appear in court this morning to face the new charges.
