Markham’s Andre DeGrasse is in the final after the 21-year-old qualified and set a Canadian record with a 19.80 second finish.
Jamaica’s Usain Bolt was first in the qualifying heat with 19.78 seconds. The final is Thursday night.
Meanwhile, 26 year old London native Damian Warner is third in the decathlon after 5 events. He had an Olympic best time of 10.30 in the 100 meter portion of the competition. The final 5 events are set for Thursday as well.
18-year-old Smiths Falls native Brooke Henderson is five shots behind the leader, and tied for 19th after the first round of the women’s golf event
