The Tragically Hip is getting ready for what will be their final show in Toronto.
A sold-out crowd will be in attendance at the Air Canada Centre on Sunday night for the Man Machine Poem tour and the band also rocked the building during their previous show on Friday night.
Hip frontman Gord Downie graced the stage with a purple suit and hat with his bandmates Paul Langlois, Rob Baker, Gord Sinclair and Johnny Fay all playing behind him as they opened up the show around 8:30 p.m.
Fans have been going crazy trying to get their hands on tickets and they have been flocking down to Maple Leaf Square in anticipation of the group’s farewell tour trying to catch the band from Kingston, Ontario one last time.
The Hip made the announcement back in May after Gord Downie revealed that he had been diagnosed with brain cancer.
This tour has been thought by many to be the band’s last, but that has yet to be stated by The Hip, who will play at FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton on Tuesday night.
