A mother and her two children have been identified as the victims of that deadly fire in Hamilton’s north end, Saturday morning.
Victoria Maire and her two children, son Robert and daughter Abigail, died after smoke and flames poured into the second floor of their two and a half-storey home around at 4:30 A.M.
Investigators have not officially released names and ages of the victims at this stage of their investigation, however, an outpouring of grief on social media has revealed the identity of the deceased.
A spokesman from the Hamilton Fire Department said 11 people were in the first house at the time of the fire. Eight of them made their way out of the house by the time fire crews arrived.
Seven people were sent to hospital to treat injuries.
