There is another planned protest aimed against Uber that will take place at some point in this month of August.
Directors of the United Taxi Workers Association are planning to hold another Uber-related protest in regards to the new bylaw saying that the City of Toronto is still allowing Uber to operate under another set of standards.
A vote was held at a meeting with at least 3,500 drivers who have voted in favour of job action, which will take place on Wednesday, August 17th at 7 a.m.
Back on July 15th, a new bylaw came into to effect that now requires vehicle inspections, driver criminal background checks and a private transportation license.
The location of the protest is yet to be determined, but expected to take place in the downtown core.
Uber Canada says they have applied for a PTC license, but the United Taxi Workers Association says that is still under review with the city.
