A Canada wide warrant has been issued for a Toronto man in connection with the disappearance of a Markham woman, now thought to be deceased.
36 year old Annie Li was last seen by family on Sunday, June 12th in the area of Denison St and Markham Rd and has not been in contact with her family since.
Homicide detectives now say that they have reason to believe that Li is dead.
On Tuesday a Canada wide arrest warrant for manslaughter was issued for Jiarui (Jerry) Tang in relation to Ms. Li’s disappearance.
Investigators believe that Mr. Tang frequents the Chinatown area of Toronto and that he is still in the GTA.
They are urging Mr. Tang to seek legal counsel and hand himself in.
Police would also like to remind the public not to approach him if they encounter him and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report any sightings of the suspect.
