The Wynne Liberals are apparently spending money in secret and not releasing important information according to Ontario’s Financial Accountability Officer.
Steven LeClair appeared on the Kelly Cutrara show on Talk Radio AM640 Wednesday afternoon stating Premier Kathleen Wynne and the provincial Liberals are likely to raise public debt to close to $350 million over the next four years.
LeClair says he has inquired about this problem since May and that details have been withheld due to what he’s been told its part of cabinet confidence.
However, the Liberals say that they have been responding to LeClair and that they are cooperating with him, but he says that “he will be meeting with senior officials next week and hopes for progress to be made.”
The provincial finance watchdog adds that he has made six official information requests to meet with government ministries and agencies, but has only received limited response.
