GO train riders have been dealing with overcrowding recently because of scheduling changes from construction and reduced train cars. As a result, some commuters took to GO’s Facebook page to air their frustrations and posted photos of the overcrowding.
Metrolinx, which manages GO Transit, says the modified schedule was needed due to construction staging changes at Union Station. Trains were also ordered to slow down during hotter days to reduce the risk of derailment if tracks bent at all from the heat.
Have you been affected by these changes? Is the system not living up to your expectations?
