on April 22, Blue Jays’ Chris Colabello tested positive for the performance-enhancing drug dehydrochlormethyltestosterone, which resulted in an 80-game suspension. He will now be eligible to come back on the 23rd, though his future is unclear, and there’s no word on whether the Blue Jays will take him back.
He has always denied ever taking the drug, and says he will never not for something he didn’t do. He explained, “there is no chance I will apologize’, adding “I would never, have never and will never compromise the integrity of baseball. Ever. In my life […] And whether that means taking a performance enhancing supplement—I just wouldn’t do it. I don’t do it. I haven’t done it. I won’t do it.”
Should he still apologize to his fans? Does he owe it to the fans to say what he’s done in the past 4 months to figure out how the drug got into his system?
