Passengers who were supposed to be on an Air Transat flight are thankful their flight from Glasgow to Toronto was cancelled.
This after learning two pilots were arrested before the flight on suspicion of being too drunk to fly.
The crew members, aged 37 and 39, are due to appear in court on Tuesday, charged with being “impaired through alcohol.”
The airline says passengers were put up in hotels on Monday night and will be flown to Toronto on Tuesday.
Air Transat says it will await the results of the investigation before commenting further.
TS725 Safety of our crews & passengers is our top priority. We await results of judicial proceedings before commenting on the matter. /NB
