Yesterday, Republican delegate Marc Scaringi, who is taking his gun to the convention and will be carrying it – conforming with Ohio’s open carry law, was very direct about why he and other GOP delegates are taking their firearms to Cleveland and the conditions which may require firearms for protection. While water pistols and paintball guns are banned from the exclusion zone around Quicken Arena, real guns are permitted as long as the person carrying the gun(s) is licenced.
After Dallas, now Baton Rouge, and the violence already experienced at Trump rallies, should we expect bodies in the streets of Cleveland? Is the Ohio open gun carry legislation insane at this time?
Is the U.S. too dangerous to visit now, or is America simply and sensibly allowing its citizens to carry firearms to protect themselves?
AM980 London Corus host will be in Cleveland covering the GOP Convention for Corus radio.
