We’ve all seen it.
Someone crossing the road with their head down staring at their phone.
Toronto city council passed a motion Thursday night to ask Queen’s Park to consider banning the use of cellphones by pedestrians walking on crosswalks and roadways.
City councillor John Matlow voted against the motion.
He told Global News “police don’t enforce distracted driving and speeding well enough, never mind have the resources to go after everyone looking at their cellphones.”
