Hot and humid conditions are set to make a return this week with Toronto and much of the GTA under a special weather statement.
According to Environment Canada, ”a hot and humid airmass from the Gulf of Mexico will affect most of southern Ontario from Tuesday through Thursday.”
Tuesday will see a daytime high of between 30 to 33 in most places, but it will feel closer to 40 with the humidex, while Wednesday and Thursday are also expected to be very warm.
The nights will be warm and muggy with overnight lows of 20 to 23.
However, showers or thunderstorms are possible in some area, which may bring some relief.
Heat warnings will likely be issued on Monday.
