Despite the humidity feeling like 37 degrees today, Toronto Hydro wants you to reduce your use of air conditioning to conserve energy. They want residents to set it at 25C for 8 hours and 22C during off-peak hour, and to keep it off when not at home.
Toronto Hydro spokeswoman Tori Gass explained, “the hot weather is causing an increase in power consumption […] We’re asking customers to reduce their AC use to help lessen demand”.
