A lawsuit against Christian Mingle parent company Spark Networks Inc. has been settled in favour of the plaintiffs. Two gay men in California filed the lawsuit in 2013 saying that Christian Mingle had violated the state’s anti-discrimination law.
On the website, it was not possible for men to search for men, or woman to search for woman, which made the website catered to heterosexuals only.
Spark Networks Inc. lost the lawsuit, and will now be adjusting the settings to include gays and lesbians.
Should Christian Mingle have had to change their settings? Is this stepping on religious rights?
