A 48 year old woman is facing charges after an SUV mounted a sidewalk and killed a street vendor and injured another woman near the Rogers Centre.
Police said the woman, whose name was not released, is charged with careless driving and unsafely changing lanes in connection with the June 14 crash at Bremner Boulevard near Spadina Avenue.
A 38-year-old woman was pronounced dead on the scene after the Mercedes SUV mounted the curb and pinned her. Her 35-year-old sister suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Police at the time said the SUV was making a lane change before it drove onto the sidewalk.
The woman is due in court on September 1.
