Swedish furniture giant Ikea is expected to recall one of its best-selling dressers after several children were killed when the dresser fell on them.
The chest in question is called the “Malm” and 29 million of the units were sold.
The U-S Federal Consumer Safety Commission says there have been three deaths in the U-S within the past two years.
All the children involved were toddlers.
Ikea had issued warnings about the chests in 2015 and kits to attach the dressers to a wall were made available to consumers.
It’s not clear if the recall will cover the six million sold in Canada but the dresser is no longer available for sale at Ikea stores here.
