It’s something commuters have been waiting, what seems like, forever for.
Although the busy summer construction season is well underway, all lanes on the Gardiner Expressway are now officially open.
Mayor John Tory made the announcement Tuesday morning via his Twitter account.
He says this will mean drivers can get to work and back to their families much sooner.
The completion of work is being attributed to an accelerated schedule and good weather, and comes months ahead of the estimated October date.

Getting this critical work done on the Gardiner four months early means you can get to work on time and home to your families sooner.
