Sukhvir and Karamveer Hundal are asking the Peel District School Board to provide transportation for their children due to the coyote problem in Brampton.
Two of their kids are currently being bused to school, however the service will be discontinued come the fall, affecting a dozen children in the neighbourhood.
The couple believe the route the children would need to take to get to school is dangerous, given the fact that coyotes are frequently sighted in the area.
Sukhvir told the board that vegetation makes it difficult for children to spot a coyote moving through the wooded area.
They backed up their fears by pointing to the fact that a warning sign was posted in the area last summer, and a brochure about coyote was supplied to the community.
