Police say a 25-year-old woman who was stuck by a van on Friday morning in a hit and run, has died in hospital.
The woman was walking on Danforth Road just south of St. Clair Avenue East before 3 a.m. when she was stuck.
The van was driving southbound on Danforth Road when it struck the woman and then fled the scene southbound on Danforth.
The woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and she would die on Sunday.
The involved vehicle police are looking for is described as a two-tone van, darker colour on the top and lighter colour on the bottom.
Police would also like to speak with anyone who has not already provided a statement, and who was in the general area of Danforth Road, between St. Clair and Kennedy Road at about 2:50 a.m. on Friday, June 17.
