It appears Ron MacLean is headed back to the chair he was forced from a few years ago.
The Toronto Star is reporting the George Stroumboulopoulos experiment at the iconic Hockey Night in Canada is over, two years after it started.
Back in 2014, the hiring of Stroumboulopoulos was seen as a way to lure in younger viewers to the CBC staple, but sources tell the paper, ratings continued to slide.
MacLean, who had hosted the show from 1986-2014, will reportedly return to the seat, although official announcements about the upcoming 2016-2017 season have yet to be made.
More to come.
