Several TTC upgrade projects will affect change to a few routes, this weekend.
Scheduled signal work has closed down Subway Line 1: Yonge-University between St Clair West Station and Downsview for Saturday and Sunday.
Subway cars headed north will turn back at St. Clair west. Those wishing to travel North, will have to jump on replacement shuttle buses.
Meanwhile, for the first time in 60 years, a new streetcar line was introduced on Saturday. The 514 Cherry Street route begins at Mill Street and will run north on Cherry turning west on to King going through to the Dufferin Loop.
And finally, 512 St. Clair street cars will be replaced by buses between St. Clair and Keele as construction ramps up on the new low-floor streetcar project which will finish in 2018. Partial streetcar service will return in September.
