Meat Loaf (Michael Lee Aday) collapsed on stage at a concert in Edmonton Thursday night.
The 68-year-old rocker was performing I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That) when he dropped his microphone and fell to the floor.
Many concertgoers thought it was a joke, even as multiple crew members rushed to the stage to tend to Aday.
The singer’s agent and manager have not responded to questions from the media.
Aday cancelled shows in Calgary and Saskatchewan earlier in the week due to illness.
This isn’t the first time he’s collapsed on stage. He took a tumble in 2011 in Pittsburgh (but hopped back to his feet to finish the show) and in 2013 at Wembley Arena in London, England.
