Mayor John Tory says the Gardiner lanes that were scheduled to be under construction until the end of July will now be reopened June 25.
That’s actually 4 months ahead of the original schedule.
The accelerated construction schedule comes at a cost of $3.4 million.
Tory says the money is well worth it as having the lanes closed cost the city up to $1 million a day. He says that adds up to a savings of $120 million
We accelerated road work to open Gardiner faster. Strachan to Bathurst will re-open as early as June 25. #getTOmoving.
