A week-long safe cycling campaign kicks off Monday morning.
“S.P.A.C.E. to Cycle” promotes Safety, Prevention, Awareness, Courtesy and Education, and looks to reduce the number of cycling-related injuries.
Toronto police officers will be paying close attention to motorists who fail to heed cyclists, those who park or drive in designated bike lanes, or exhibit dangerous behavior which could result in injury for a cyclist.
Officers will also be paying attention to cyclists behavior, making sure they obey all the rules of the road and not compromise their own safety.
The campaign concludes on Sunday, June 19.
