The Senate amends the federal government’s Assisted Dying legislation bill C-14, to include the right to assisted death for those suffering immensely from a condition which is not terminal. As well, it is now an offense for any one who may benefit from the death of the patient to help them self-administer the substance prescribed as part of medical assistance in dying. The Trudeau Liberals have signaled they will not sign the legislation as amended by the Senate. So, now what?
