A one-of-a-kind experience is happening this weekend, months before a Toronto landmark closes it’s doors for good.
Honest Ed’s Warehouse will be selling off some of Ed’s personally purchased collectibles, antiques and memorabilia starting Saturday morning at 9:00.
Also up for grabs? Theatre banners, posters and back-lit billboards used to advertise Mirvish productions. They have been stored at the store for years.
Collectors can also get their hands on some of the original vintage uniforms and smocks, which were used from the ’60s to ’80s, and some of the original in-store shopping bags.
After 68 years, Honest Ed’s will close the doors on the iconic store at Bloor and Bathurst streets at the end of this December.
The developer which purchased the site has plans to put in rental apartments, and a new public market amoungst other offerings.
