The Ottawa public school board is hoping that a judge will order Youtube or Google to reveal who posted a video title “Kid with autism goes nuts”. The video is of a teacher trying to calm an autistic student that attends Ottawa Technical Secondary School. The video was removed by the original up-loader, but has been posted on two separate accounts. The school board fears that the video may have been uploaded by one of their staff members, and are adamant they will get to the bottom of the issue.
Should the media companies have to give up the privacy of the posters? Is anonymity a privileged? When privacy too much?
