York Regional police say that two suspects wanted in connection with an arson investigation have now been identified.
One is a 14 year old youth from Vaughan and the other is a 15 year old youth from Bolton.
Both are now charged with arson – disregard for human life.
The incident happened at around 7.30.p.m on Sunday night, at a Longo’s in the Weston and Rutherford Roads area of Vaughan, when two people were seen entering the store and deliberately starting a fire.
When officers showed up, smoke could be seen from outside the building.
Staff and customers were evacuated safely.
The estimated damage is in excess of $2 million dollars.
In a release sent out on Monday night, York regional police thanked the public for their help in identifying the suspects.
Both of the suspects are youths and therefore cannot be named.
