Armed with a loaded gun and an empty stomach?
Toronto Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti is working on a motion that may interest you.
The Ward 7 representative is working on a gun amnesty program that would waive prosecution against gun owners who surrender their weapons to authorities.
In order to entice individuals to take part, Mammoliti suggests that Toronto and a grocer offer coupons for free food.
“I think you’ll find that many people who have a hard time affording groceries may just find those guns lying around the house and may want to hand them in,” the councillor told the Toronto Sun here.
