Three people have been charged in a human trafficking investigating which was launched after a 17 year old girl was recently targeted.
It’s alleged the teen was contacted by another 17 year old girl through Instagram, and that she was picked her near her home last month by two men and the other teen, and forced into the sex trade industry.
She was taken to a hotel on Evans Avenue, where provocative pictures were taken of her and posted to a website advertising sexual services.
It’s further alleged the teen was forced to have sex with clients over several days, and then hand over all the money she made to the suspects.
She was able to escape and contacted police and three people have since been arrested and charged.
Dominic Webster, 21 years of Brampton, 20 year old Travis Taseen of Toronto, along with a 17 year old girl who can not be named, face charges including trafficking in persons under 18 years, possession of, the making of and distributing child pornography.
Police believe there are likely some more victims and urge anyone with information to come forward.
