Police have charged a 21 year old man after a crash on highway 27 south of Humber College Blvd. Tuesday afternoon left a 72 year old man dead.
Albert Opoku of Oakville was driving a 2010 Kia Forte, northbound on Highway 27, in the curb lane when he struck the rear of a 2007 Toyota corolla driven by a 72 year old man.
The crash caused the Toyota to lose control and collide with a 2005 Nissan Altima in the passing lane driven by a 55 year old man.
After the Nissan and Toyota collided, both vehicles crossed into the southbound lanes and were struck by the southbound dump truck driven by a 25 year old man.
The driver of the Toyota received life-threatening injuries and was pronounced at the scene.
Opoku is now charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and was scheduled to appear in court this morning
