Melanie Palaypayon recently received a written apology from MPP Bob Delaney (Mississauaga-Streetsville) after he called Peel Regional Police on her. She had planned a protest outside his office concerning changes to autism therapy, which would affect her six-year-old son.
Under the Provincial government’s new five-year, $333 million revamp of autism services, children over five years of age would no longer qualify for intensive behavioural intervention (IBI) funded by the province.
Palaypayon had notified her MPP’s constituents that she would be handing out pamphlets outside their office last week to raise awareness to the changes.
Melanie explains to Kelly the changes as well as what happened with her MPP.
