Not good news on National Enforcement Day for Impaired Driving, as Halton Police arrested a 28 year old woman involved in a crash.
It happened around 5:00 a.m. near the Burlington Skyway and Eastport Drive.
The driver was the only occupant and suffered minor injuries.
She’s likely to face charges for impaired driving after being taken into custody.
More eyes are out looking for those operating vehicles who may be under the influence of alcohol and drugs during National Enforcement Day for Impaired Driving.
Authorities asking revelers to seriously consider designated drivers, taxi’s, public transit & overnight accommodations considering the high volume expected on the roads over the next couple of days.
Additional Police officers across several regions will be enhancing the R.I.D.E. program right through Monday.
