Canadian bank notes will be getting another makeover.
By 2018, one bill will feature the face of a woman, other than the Queen of course.
As for who that woman will be, there’s been no decision made as of yet, but an Angus Reid Institute poll finds Canadians are leaning towards Nellie McClung.
Nearly 30% favored the Famous Five activist, who fought to have women legally recognized.
According to the poll, 19% felt Thérèse Casgrain, who was the first woman to lead a Canadian political party, should have her face on a bank note, followed by Elizabeth McGill, the world’s first female aircraft designer, with 18% support.
