Toronto police are investigating the city’s latest homicide.
A pregnant woman was shot and killed in Rexdale on Sunday evening.
The expectant mother was sitting in a car around 11 p.m., in the area of John Garland Blvd Blvd and Jamestown Crescent when she was shot in the chest.
The 35 year old woman was transported to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Her baby was delivered by emergency c-section and is now in stable condition.
Police have identified the woman as Candace Rochelle Bobb (pictured).
There’s no word yet on any suspects and the homicide unit has taken over the investigation.
It’s not clear if the pregnant woman was the intended target.
Police say there were 3 other people in the car with her when the shots rang out.
