A teenage male has been taken to hospital in serious condition and four schools are on high alert after a stabbing at high school in Mississauga.
Peel Regional Police said an assault occurred at Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School, in the Mississauga neighbourhood of Malton, just after 12:30 p.m. Monday.
The school was then put on lockdown, but lowered to a hold and secure shortly thereafter. Three other nearby schools including Holy Cross Secondary School, Corliss Public School and Ridgewood Public School were also put in hold and secure.
All the hold and secures were lifted by police around 2:30 p.m.
Peel paramedics said they rushed a male teenager to hospital in serious condition but would not comment on the extent of his injuries.
