Some stores operating under that Loblaw chain were forced to shut their doors this morning because of a cash register glitch.
The issue affected some stores right across the province.
The Loblaws at Queen’s Quay and Jarvis tells AM640 their store has now re-opened. It was closed at 7 a.m. but their computer system began working again at 9:45 a.m.
Loblaw issued a statement just before 11 a.m. that can be read below:
Due to a technical issue this morning, some Loblaw grocery stores experienced problems completing sales for our customers. The issue has been fixed, all of our stores are up and running, but checkout times may be slower than normal.
We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.
