A Toronto man has been arrested and is facing several charges following two attempted bank robberies.
27 year old Jigme Yeshi was brought into police custody on May 5th, just two days after his second attempted robbery.
The first attempt came back on February 1st at a bank near the Bathurst Street and Dundas Street West area.
He entered the bank wearing a surgical mask and gloves and presented the teller with a hold up note demanding money.
He would later flee the bank with no money.
Yeshi’s second attempted robbery happened on May 3rd at a bank in the Queen Street West and Jameson Avenue area.
Upon entering the bank, he again presented a teller with a hold up note but claimed to be armed.
He again fled the bank with no money.
Yeshi is being charged with two counts of robbery and one count of disguise with intent.
He appeared in a city court Friday morning.
