Police have provided an update on the 27th and 28th homicides of the year.
26 year old Joseph Anzolona and 24 year old Cynthia Mullapudi were shot in the parking lot of an LCBO on Ellesmere on April 29.
On Sunday police arrested 24 year old Harris Nnane, of Toronto and charged him with two counts of first-degree murder in the case.
Now police say witnesses have helped them identify the get-away car in the double murder.
Police say the license plate of the car is BYYW-755. It’s a 2006, grey four-door Ford Fusion.
The registered owner of the vehicle is 24 year old Juliana Talevski and police say she has a connection to the accused in the case Harris Nnane.
It’s not clear if she was involved in the shooting but police haven’t been able to locate her through her family.
Police did say “innocent people traditionally don’t need lawyers if they didn’t do anything wrong”.
