It’s been almost six years since the battered body of Katelynn Sampson was found. Her guardians had called 9-1-1 claiming she had choked on her food.
On Friday, a report from a coroner’s inquest jury, looking into her death, will be released.
An inquest was launched last November, in efforts to find out what exactly led to the girl’s death in August of 2008. The report will also outline measures to prevent other tragedies from occurring, going forward.
In 2012, her guardians, Donna Irving and Warren Johnson pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in her death. They are currently serving life sentences.
