Toronto police say a 51 year old man has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of two teens, which followed a shootout at a downtown condo building.
It’s alleged there was an altercation between the Young Buck Killers and the Queens Drive Crips at building on Front Street on April 19th, during which shots were fired in the hallway.
It’s further alleged that two boys were taken against their will and hidden at a few locations around the city, it’s said the boys were tied to chairs, beaten, forced to perform sexual acts and play Russian roulette with a loaded handgun during their detention.
A ransom demand was made for their release, and they were let go a few days later.
An investigation was launched and 19 year old Quinton Gardiner was first placed under arrest, he is facing charges including kidnapping for ransom and assault with a weapon.
A search warrant was then executed at a home in the Shaughnessy Blvd and Trailside Drive area, where a loaded gun, a Walther PPK 9mm, was found.
Akil Whyte, 23, and 18 year old Deshawn Walters have since been charged with numerous offences including possession of a load restricted firearm.
A 16 year old boy was also rounded up in the investigation. He can’t be named, but he is also facing firearms charges.
On Friday, Michael Hollinger, 51, of Toronto, was also arrested in connection with the investigation and charged with kidnapping, assault with a weapon and obstructing police.
He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Police continue to search for two other suspects.
Canada wide warrants were issued for a 17 year old boy and 23 year old Lincoln Anthony Richards (pictured).
Richards is described 6′ and 230 lbs.
