Crystal and Ken Taylor left a Winnipeg restaurant feeling frustrated after they were asked to leave.
They weren’t disturbing other patrons. They hadn’t started a fist fight with their server.
They simply ran out of time on their meal’s two-hour time limit!
Hermanos observes that strict rule, which is clearly defined in the email confirmation that was sent to the Taylor’s when they reserved through opentable.com. Crystal admits she never fully read the terms, but that it doesn’t change the fact that management mishandled the situation.
She says that their group, which included clients, arrived on time for their 6 p.m. reservations and were planning to order dessert and drinks before retiring for the evening.
However, halfway through their main entrees, their server informed them that they had to vacate the table withing the next 20 minutes.
