Toronto Police have confirmed that a skull discovered in the area of St Clair West and Weston Avenue on Wednesday afternoon is human in origin.
The discovery was made by a man as he looked through the brush near Lavender Creek along Symes Road at around 2.p.m.
He then called police who arrived on scene along with the coroner and tests were conducted to determine if the skull and other bones found alongside it were human.
Speaking to AM640 news, Toronto Police Constable Alison Douglas Cook confirmed that it is in fact a human skull.
The Canine Unit and Forensics Unit have both attended the scene to aid in the investigation, while the homicide unit is also said to be assisting.
However, police say it it too early to say in foul play is suspected.
