A proposal to bring in separated bike lanes on Bloor Street will be up for debate Monday.
The city’s Public Works and Infrastructure Committee will review the staff recommendation for the lanes between Shaw Street and Avenue Road, which cycling advocates say is long overdue.
Motorists would be limited to one lane of traffic each way and on-street parking would be reduced.
If the motion has support of the committee, full Council will vote on the matter next month.
The bike lanes could be painted in by this summer.
