A 21 year old Toronto man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman and a teen girl.
Police say the first incident happened on March 18th and involved a 42 year old woman who was targeted after getting out of an elevator in a building at Eglinton Avenue and Kingston Road.
The suspect allegedly ran towards the woman, grabbed her, and attempted to cover her mouth before sexually assaulting her. The man fled after the woman screamed for help.
A month later, police say the same man got into an elevator with a 17 year old girl in the area of Midland Avenue and Lawrence Avenue east, grabbed her and sexually assaulted her.
She was able to break free and call for help.
Thusanth Ariyanayagam, 21, of Toronto was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of fail to comply with recognizance.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
Police are encouraging any other victims to come forward.
