Toronto police have announced more charges against a Toronto man in a sexual assault investigation.
23 year old Daniel Harker was already facing charges of sexual assault and sexual interference.
He was arrested last month after it was alleged he attacked a 6 year old boy, after he was hired to work in the family home as a babysitter.
Police say Harker advertised his babysitting services online through care.com and at the time of his arrest, police indicated their belief that there were other victims, since the accused had access to other children in the community.
Police say as a result of the previous news release more victims came forward.
It is now alleged between June 2012 and December 2013, Daniel Harker sexually assaulted a then-five-and-six-year-old boy he was babysitting, at the boy’s homes on two separate occasions.
Between September 2015 and December 2015, Daniel Harker sexually assaulted a then-eight-year-old boy he was babysitting at the boy’s home. and in October 2015, Daniel Harker sexually assaulted a then-eight-year-old boy he was babysitting at his home on two separate occasions.
Daniel Harker is now facing 5 additional charges of sexual assault, five counts of sexual interference, one count of invitation to sexual touching and indecent act.
Police are still concerned there may be more victims.
Harker also worked as a lunchroom monitor at Pape Avenue Junior Public School on Langley Avenue, as a pre-school daycare worker at Gledhill Child Care Centre, and a part-time recreation worker with the City of Toronto, where he would have had access to children at various locations including gym classes and wading pools.
