The woman accused in a fatal stabbing in the city’s PATH system late last year has been hospitalized.
Rohinie Bisesar had been due to appear in court via video-link today, however a guard from the Vanier Centre for Women in Milton were she is being held appeared in court instead to deliver the news.
However the guard did not provide any details about why Bisesar had been hospitalized or which hospital she had been taken to, the news coming as a surprise to both the prosecution and Bisesar’s lawyer.
In her last appearance earlier this week, Bisesar addressed the court, ranting about terrorism and security concerns.
The victim, 28 year old Rosemarie Junor, was stabbed in an unprovoked attack in the underground PATH system on December 11.
She died of her injuries days later in hospital.
Bisesar has now been ordered by the judge to appear in court in person on Friday.
