The Special Investigations Unit has started an investigation after Peel Police arrested a 30-year-old man and the man suffered a fractured right ankle.
Investigators say police were called to a home in the Chinguacousy Road and Botavia Downs Drive area in Brampton just before 11 p.m. last night.
A man at the home fled the residence out a second-floor rear window shortly after their arrival.
The man was found in the backyard of another home close by shortly afterward.
During the course of the arrest by Tactical officers two tasers were deployed.
The 30-year-old man was taken to Brampton Civic Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a fractured ankle.
Two investigators and one forensic investigator have been assigned to this incident.
The SIU is urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact the lead investigator at 1-800-787-8529.
